ElectroMagnetic Sculpting

ElectroMagnetic Sculpting

Electromagnetic Sculpting, also known as EMS, is a procedure that uses electromagnetic energy to naturally sculpt and contour the body. It is a non-invasive treatment that targets the muscles and fat cells in the body. The procedure uses a device that emits electromagnetic waves that penetrate the skin and cause involuntary muscle contractions. These contractions help to tone and tighten the muscles, which can lead to a more sculpted appearance. The goal of this treatment is to tone and strengthen muscles, rather than to build significant muscle mass. The procedure is painless and requires no downtime, making it a popular choice for those looking to improve their body shape without surgery.

Electromagnetic Sculpting can be used on various parts of the body, including the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, and arms. It is important to note that the results of Electromagnetic Sculpting are not immediate and require multiple treatments for optimal results.

While the amount of muscle gained from EMS may vary depending on individual factors such as body type, fitness level, and treatment frequency, it is generally not considered a method for significant muscle gain. Instead, it is typically used as a supplement to a regular exercise routine and healthy diet to help tone and sculpt the body.

Fat burning is a side-effect of this treatment and is further enhanced by the combination of radiofrequency energy during a treatment session.

What Does Electromagnetic Muscle Stimulation Feel Like?

Experiencing 20,000 involuntary muscle contractions in a short amount of time isn’t an everyday occurrence and can feel quite unfamiliar. The sensation can be described as feeling as though you’ve just finished an intense workout without any physical exertion. After the contractions have ceased, you may feel the muscles “humming” for a few hours later. You are unlikely to observe muscle soreness in the treatment area.

During the treatment, contractions will occur at intervals of a couple of seconds. It might feel unusual the first time, but it becomes more manageable with each subsequent session. It’s like an intense squeeze that exceeds any muscle contraction you’ve experienced before.

How Does EMS Build Muscles?

This procedure is on the cutting edge of body shaping innovation. It stimulates supramaximal muscular contractions in the target muscles by applying high-intensity electromagnetic energy. These contractions are involuntary and are induced at a rate of 20,000 contractions in 30 minutes, which is equivalent to doing 20,000 crunches or squats!

Intensive supramaximal contractions stimulate the response of the muscles with a profound remodeling of their internal structure, that is, the growth of myofibrils (muscular hypertrophy) and the creation of new protein and muscle fiber chains (muscle hyperplasia). Muscle fibers tighten in response to the supramaximal contractions; which forces the muscles to completely remodel their original structure at the cell level, resulting in a firmer, more toned appearance.

How Does EMS Burn Fat?

Did you know that contracting your muscles can help burn fat? EMS targets specific muscle groups, causing them to contract and undergo a transformation. As these muscles use more energy, the body is forced to burn fat to supply that energy. This process also helps target stubborn, localized fat stores in problem areas.

Thanks to the pulsing electromagnetic energy involved in EMS, the body’s ability to metabolize fat cells is optimized by nearly five times the normal rate. Electromagnetic waves stimulate hemoglobin in red blood cells, which in turn increases blood flow and lymphatic circulation. This helps to efficiently process the dead fat cells, resulting in an average of 16% increase in muscle mass and 19% fat loss.

Does The Treatment Replace Exercise?

While EMS is a fantastic addition to any rigorous muscle-building regimen, it should not be seen as a replacement for traditional exercise. However, for clients with joint issues that make exercise difficult, EMS can be a valuable tool to help them overcome this obstacle.

We offer maintenance visits to our clients who may need additional support in sticking to their training plan or to improve their results over time. These sessions can be scheduled monthly, quarterly, yearly, or at any time in between to ensure that the desired results are consistently maintained.

What to expect after an EMS treatment

You can return to your regular routine without any interruption immediately after the EMS body contouring session. Additionally, there will be no visible signs that the treatment was performed, except for the slimming and toning effects.

When will you see your results?

Results should begin to show within 4 to 6 weeks following your first treatment. For best results, the optimal time frame is approximately four weeks after completing the treatment schedule. Typically, treatment series last around 6 to 8 weeks.

How long do EMS results last?

One of the benefits of EMS treatment is that you can preserve definition by performing targeted exercises that focus on the treated area. For instance, core exercises, squats, lunges, and side planks could be included based on the muscle group targeted.

Our clients can maintain their results and progress with regular workouts and only one session every 3 months. To achieve long-term benefits, we recommend a balanced diet and frequent exercise to maintain a healthy weight.

Current EMS Packages

EMS is most successful when performed in a series and coupled with other body contouring technologies such as red light therapy, ultrasonic cavitation, radiofrequency and vacuum cupping.

Typically, most individuals are interested in abdomen and booty work.  The Abdomen treatment package is $2,400 and the Booty treatment package is $2,000.
